When I hear Daydream Cathedral’s brand new single, ‘Love Refocused’, I think “Dreampop just got an upgrade…”. The dreamy intro cascading into an abrupt synth hook into a vocal melody over said hook is just the beginning. For me, the overlaying vocal harmonies flying over the tension filled yet melodic rhythm is what does it for me. Highly recommended.
About Daydream Cathedral:
Daydream Cathedral is a modern psychedelic, dreampop, shoegaze duo from Maui Hawaii and Los Angeles that began producing music in 2014.
Shawn Michael is the songwriter and main vocalist for the project and has a decade long background in radio and TV on the island of Maui.
Dino Bose is the producer for Daydream Cathedral who works out of his own production studio in Los Angeles.
The song being submitted is titled ‘Love Refocused’ and will be the opening track from their ‘Ancestors’ EP. It features a balanced mixture of melody, beauty, harmony, guitar and synths.
