Casino has released their new single titled ‘Heaven’. In the vein of old school Motown and upschool Midtowne, Casino deliver that old suave ala Marvin Gaye, Smoky Robinson, and the like to relish in the 21st Century with a feeling of fresh and a nod to the cool in all of us.
‘Heaven’ starts off as a classic hit, at that first listen, but listen to the innards of the track and you hear five musicians in tune with each other and on that same mission. Not to get heard, but to be felt. This is what true music is from the best musicians possible.
About Casino & ‘Heaven’
Rising Liverpool based indie-soul quintet Casino, the b*stard sons of Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding, are back with a brand new single ‘Heaven’.
‘Heaven’, produced by the Zutons’ Sean Payne, showcases Casino’s modern twist on funk and northern soul. The song is an upbeat riot of classic Motown and Stax, full of pop hooks and soulful grooves, combined with a strong streak of fresh, danceable, irresistible Liverpool melody.
The band say: “Our new track Heaven delivers a message of hope in adversity and the importance of a positive outlook and perspective in shaping our world around us”.
In the past year, the band have built a reputation as one of the best emerging live bands around, impressing on tour with The Zutons, CVC, Lightning Seeds, and Jamie Webster, as well as top performances at Isle of Wight & Ynot Festival. Their songs have already been championed at radio by the likes of BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Radio X. Casino play their biggest headline show to date on 11th October at Liverpool O2 Academy.
