Himmelstarr came to fruition by way of Matt Himmelstein and Rob Starr utilizing the time they had at home to start creating a new sound together. Himmelstein working on the music and Starr writing and performing the lyrics, the two knew they were onto something special straight away. Politically driven and in tune with each other’s musical tastes, the duo went on to record both “Rise Up” and a cover of The Cure’s “Pictures Of You” as part of the Revolutions release.
