Emii’s power ballad “Leaving You Behind” landed her in the Top 5 Most Active Independent Artists on both the Pop and A/C Mediabase Charts for nine consecutive weeks, including a two week stay at #1 on Pop. Today Emii officially released the music video for “Leaving You Behind”, which is currently #29 with a bullet on the BDS A/C Indicator Chart, on her official YouTube channel.
“Leaving You Behind” is the empowering story of a young woman who escapes an all too common domestic abuse situation in hopes of taking control of her own destiny. The stunt-laden video brings together a team of experts with credits in some of Hollywood’s biggest films and television shows including Twilight (Mitch Gould), Batman v Superman, Man of Steel, Thor: The Dark World (Wayne Dalglish), and The Amazing Spiderman (Danielle Burgio).
Actor/stuntman Dan Southworth (The Power Rangers, Act of Valor) and actress/stuntwoman Danielle Burgio (Alias, The Matrix) choreographed and star in a climactic fight scene including super slo-mo sequences blended with real time. Emii stated, “I wish to encourage women out there in abusive relationships to examine the alternatives and find the courage to make a change.”
