Sleep Diet has today released the new track and video titled ‘Change Candidate’. This has to be one of the most original tracks I’ve heard in a while. Its hard to even compare this to another artist. You have dark and light sounds crashing with major and miner chords. You have the grit of guitar and nuvo beat of early ’80s techno and underground mixed with horns and electro-swing. And it works. It really works. How it works I have no idea. But it does. The best way to know what I am saying is to take a listen and a look. I dare you.

About Sleep Diet

Under the moniker Sleep Diet, Boe builds an entire universe of visual art and sound, pulling from a wide variety of influences and pursuing whatever sound he chooses to. With the fiery “Change Candidate”, Boe reflects on the most recent election cycle, and the stream of false promises fed to the American public by their representatives.

The song builds around a funk infused bassline, jagged electric guitars, and Boe’s attitude soaked voice. The visual finds him on set at a bizarre late-night talk show, the scene filled with hand painted signage and a cast of surreal characters.
