In today’s Jammerzine Exclusive I have the distinct pleasure of talking with Nicholai La Barrie, frontman for the London based, impressively unique band known as Mangoseed. Nicholai is certainly a goal oriented musicain to say the very least. What you will hear is basically a lesson in the business of music, which is ever more important in order to leave any mark on the ears of the masses. And that is certainly what Mangoseed have consistently done since 2014. Just check out our review of their new single “Lucy”. And you just wait because, as you will hear in detail in the interview, 2016 is gearing up to be the year of the “Mango” with a slew of new releases coming from Nicholai and the gang that you simply don’t want to miss.

About Mangoseed
Hailing from the cultural and creative melting pot that is England’s capital city, Mangoseed comprise four musicians of Trinidadian, Jamaican, Australian and Irish descent. Perhaps no surprise, then, that this multinational troupe produce an enthralling fusion of global sounds, mashing up ska and soca, jungle and funk, rock and punk, all of it high-energy and unfailingly danceable.

The new year comes as the group have a slew of fresh material to release – starting with the delicious ‘Lucy’ – tracks that are sure to form the bedrock of Mangoseed’s growth into a mighty musical force.
