Some of the most recognized artists in the music industry are using their talents to promote peace and raise funds for charities around the world through Make Your Own Peace Foundation, an innovative social movement and non-profit organization launching November 16th at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami. With the goal of impacting one billion lives in the first year, MYOP is the first secure method for individuals to make a real impact towards world peace, allowing supporters to donate towards peace-generating causes, regardless of geography, political views or religious beliefs.

To kick off the campaign, Eduardo Marturet, music director and conductor of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and global ambassador for Make Your Own Peace, will unveil the campaign anthem called “With A Little Help from My Friends” during the “All You Need is Love” concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival in America. The event will feature Beatles music performed by the Miami Symphony Orchestra as well as special performances by American Idol Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard and introducing child prodigy Haven Star Ross.

“Just like The Beatles’ music, Make Your Own Peace’s goal is to transcend cultural and physical boundaries to spread a message about love, compassion and generosity,” said Miguel (Mike) Rodriguez, President and Founder of MYOP. “While there are many organizations raising funds for similar causes, renowned artists are investing their time with Make Your Own Peace because they understand it is a transparent organization capable of making a real and immediate impact towards peace across the globe.”

MYOP supporters can make a difference by simply downloading music. With a minimum $5 donation, supporters are able to download music created by the world’s most renowned artists especially for Make Your Own Peace. At the time of purchase, donors can select to direct their funds to one of many causes supported by MYOP, including education, health and hunger. The first compilation of music by award winning artists will be released by Christmas.

“We couldn’t think of a better place to launch than during the Miami Symphony Orchestra’s All You Need Is Love concert,” said Samuel Quiros, CEO of World Music Group and Chairman of Make Your Own Peace Foundation. “The Beatles are the perfect example of how music can change the world and that’s exactly what we are trying to do with MYOP.”

Priding itself on efficient and transparent operations, all donations will be delivered directly to the cause each donor selects in real time, allowing charities to make instant use of funds. Donors will also receive news from charities about how those funds were spent.
