Nineties-based alternative Rock Group JimiE and The Moral Groove are set to debut their new single “No future for Future” from their forthcoming new album, Reckless introspect, both on August 15, 2024.

The core songwriting, arrangement, production and performing team of Jimmy Etherington and Gabe Rosales, Jeff Suburu aka Moral Groove, vow “No expectations other than the unexpected” to the fundamentals of their throwback Pomo alt sound. However, Etherington and Rosales, Suburu, shift their focus towards a more streamlined AOR sound on No Future for Future.

The prospectus to No Future for Future, according to Etherington (JimiE) is to drop a cautious warning against a possible dystopian future with humankind’s reliance upon technology, specifically artificial intelligence. “(It’s about) How we negotiate AI in our lives,” he observes, “but also a possible harmonious relationship with AI.”

Expect nothing less than a wicked time with The Moral Groove on tracks like “Tear it Down,” “Hypersoul,” “Euphoria” and the duo’s love letter to their generation and hometown of Big Bear, California, “The One Nine Nineties.”

Big Bear will be the site of a fully catered release party for Reckless Introspect including a performance by JimiE and The Moral Groove at Bob Jaffe’s Annual BBQ Jam the weekend of August 16th and 17th.

About JimiE and The Moral Groove

The Beatles to Jamiroquai, To Incubus to a Living Colour fuel the vibe of JimiE and The Moral Groove. Swinging their torches in remembrance of a sometimes-maligned decade given reappraisal, Jimmy Etherington (guitars, lead vocals) and Gabe Rosales (Bass Guitars) (Jeff Suburu)profess a craftmanship philosophy set with no boundary limits, no genre attachments nor any hampering trends.

Etherington and Rosales and Jeff Suburu are joined in their recording studio by an entire gaggle of guest artists such as, Jesse Godoy (guitars), Vanessa Tillman (vocals), Brentt Arcement (drums), Jara Harris of SlapBak (production, clav, bass and drums) and Josh Bourgeois (guitars, arrangements). They also collaborate with song mixer Cedric Courtois.

No noobs here, it’s about kicking things back and letting it all hang out. No worries, no restraints. Just rock music you’d be tapping along to in your bedroom when crimps, baggy acid washed jeans and Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers were still the rage.
