Jupiter Hollow has released their new video for the track titled ‘Incivility’. Chug prog with a dash of melodic angst and harmonic fervor, the first few riffs really threw me for a loop with an almost multi-decade jump of influence and anthemic rise of angry melancholy. There is a solid theme framed by the music and captured by the lyrics that makes you want to listen again and again. Almost a cinematic buildup and roller coaster for emotional depravation grabbing all the feelings and letting go of all the inhibitions.
Listening to the guitars play and tease with sonic originality and dueling with the rhythm and vocals is the most ear grabbing part of the song, speaking as a musician myself. But the music really highlights the story behind the words. Taking the ups and downs with appropriate stance and stanzas done in a way only a true group of artists can accommodate. This is a true lesson in songwriting.
