Asteron has released their new cover of the Def Leppard single titled ‘Love Bites’. It’s a bold move to remake a genre specific classic, especially one from an album that had almost every track become a huge single in their own rights. It takes an even bigger pair of bold moves to do that to a song that helped define an era.
Asteron’s version of ‘Love Bites’ is both a love letter to Def Leppard as well as that glorious era of music that can’t be recreated. But, it can be honored and reinterpreted for this era of music and given as an homage to not only what was but where it led to. This is also an original song. Beyond what was and firmly in what is to be. Here and now. Linn Holmes and Tommy Hatz create a vivid soundscape with their individual talents that come together with a subtle symphony like an angel and demon in a secret love affair.
About Asteron & ‘Love Bites’
Asteron, the modern rock project led by producer and artist Tom Hatizemanouel aka TommyHatz, sets out out to create a more modern face to classic rock – with the brand new single featuring singer Linn Holmstedt aka Linn Holmes alongside TommyHatz himself. Inspired by the grand rock songs of the 80s, the collaboration presents a modern take on english rock band Def Leppard’s classic “Love Bites”.
TommyHatz (Tom Hatziemanouel) is a professional songwriter, producer, and musician. Best known as a long-time member of the band Professional Murder Music. Tom’s career began as guitarist for Michale Graves’ first post-Misfits outing “Graves”. He has also worked with artists including: Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, Alice Cooper), Patrick Droney, Jimmy Gnecco (Ours), and Whitney Tai. He is currently writing and producing new music with multiple artists for commercial release and film/tv sync licensing.
Linn Holmstedt is a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter. She is known for her work as an artist under the name Linn Holmes as well as a session singer, performing and recording background vocals for a vast variety of bands and artists. Mixing the influences of her mother’s time singing gospel and her fathers love for Rock ’n Roll, she recently released her debut EP “Introducing Linn Holmes” earlier this summer.
