Cloaks are an up-and-coming five-piece guitar band based in Glasgow with a contemporary indie rock style. The band formed in 2020 through a shared passion for music and sound, with four of the five band members meeting while studying Audio Engineering at Riverside Music College.
Their single ‘Headhunter’ premiered on BBC Radio Scotland’s Billy Sloan Show, where influential music journalist Billy Sloan commented, ‘they might just be my new favorite band’. Cloaks have since found themselves on BBC Scotland’s top 20 tracks of 2023. Fellow Glaswegian and Trainspotting actor Robert Carlyle has also included their track ‘Coloured Pictures’ in his favorite tracks of the week.
Since their beginnings, Cloaks have also gone on to talk with some of their biggest influences including Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien.
That solid grounding in music production and sound composition gives Cloaks a confident sound and one that’s technically accomplished.
