Electronic Dance Music Producer Shuja Rabbani is currently disrupting the music industry in Afghanistan with the first single ‘Prisoner of My Dance Floor’ from his new album ‘Alpha Male’.
As the first and only EDM producer in Afghanistan, Rabbani has already amassed a huge following in his home country and in Dubai where he is currently based. Before Rabbani, EDM was virtually unheard of in Afghanistan and he is the latest music producer to have gone international with his music from the Middle Eastern city of Dubai.
Since the USA invasion in 2001, Afghanistan has endured a violent stigma and next to no attention from the Western music industry. Determined to expose Afghanistan beyond the war scenes, Rabbani represents a new era of artist for the Afghan music industry.
In an effort to continue revolutionizing the music scene in Afghanistan, Shuja’s fans will be excited to learn that his second album will be released on 16th of January 2016.
The sequel to his first album ‘Afghan Provocateur’, ‘Alpha Male’ will feature 21 dance tracks which are club ready and is now available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon. The album will be available for sale in over 200 digital stores including; Beatport, Spotify, Google Play and superstar rapper Jay-Z’s Tidal – the latest digital music streaming platform.
Rabbani is set to release three singles to promote the new album on his social media channels and using the hashtag #EDMA for Electronic Dance Music Afghanistan.
If his new album wasn’t keeping him busy enough, Shuja has also registered a record label under the name of ‘Rabbani Records’ on Beatport. This is the first ever Afghan-owned and registered music label on Beatport.
We’re expecting to hear more great things about this up and coming producer in the future.
