Leanne Gallati has today released her new single titled ‘Car Sick’. Rock inspired originality with an almost musical feeling about emancipation and newfound freedom.
The mix and mash of the instrumentation in the music combined with the almost quirkiness and snarky attitude in Leanne’s vocals is that instant grab from the song to your playlist addition. Autobiographical to all of us and endearing to those who listen, ‘Car Sick’ makes good for addition to any roadtrip playlist.
About ‘Car Sick’
“Car Sick” is an upbeat punk inspired pop track that celebrates freedom. Throughout the track, Leanne shakes off the dead weight an ex lover has left her with. The song was produced at Braund Studios, and was mixed and mastered by Gunnar Nagle.
Just shy of three minutes, “Car Sick” packs a punch that explores the idea of someone being merely a figment of perfection. The song looks from the perspective of a person who is no longer enthralled by their lover. Sonically, the tune is reminiscent of early No Doubt mixed with a splash of Amy Winehouse.
About Leanne Gallati
Long Island bred and current Brooklyn resident Leanne Gallati is an emerging star to familiarize yourself with. Gallati studied musical theatre at Rider University, but always felt her style was more geared towards pop rock. With this in mind, her solo music contains a perfect entanglement of pop and theatrical moments.
Having various different musical styles under her belt, Gallati decided to pursue a solo career in 2022. Before synthesizing music on her own, Gallati acted as lead vocalist for the funk rock unit Cosmonaut Radio. Artists that definitively shape Gallati’s solo material are Lake Street Dive, Lawrence, and Rubblebucket. In addition to Gallati on vocals/keys, the project is composed of Josh Santiago (guitar), Austin Deyo (drums), and Sophie Mullens (bass/background vocals).
