Militia Vox has today released her new single titled ‘Apocalypse’ via Golden Robot Records. I have nothing but disdain when it comes to the term ‘alternative metal’. What the fuck is this the alternative to? Shitty metal? ‘Apocalypse’ is the ambassador of metal to all those who have either shunned or shirked the genre out of either fear or loathing.
‘Apocalypse’ is a song that transgresses what prejudice perceives it to be and stigmatism demands it remain. This is progression of a genre in every shape and form. Militia is such a monster talent that you can’t simply peg her into the realm of metal. She is a muse. Look at the collaborations she has done so far. She makes any project better. ‘Apocalypse’ showcases that signature sound as well as polishes off that sheer originality that is Militia Vox.
