MofoIsDead are about to embark on their first East Coast Tour in a long time and are now releasing their filmclip for the track. The filmclip was completely homemade by the band. The resulting purposely no-budget looking filmclip matches with the vibe of the eclectic, quirk-filled song – an ode to the malaise of human behaviour. The clip uses green screen to overlay multiple versions of the musicians playing the track, while astral travelling through various dimensions.

The Single dropped Friday, January 30.

MofoIsDead is spearheaded by the talented Paul Galagher – whose praises have been sung by Guns’N’Roses’ drummer Matt Sorum, Australian rock greats Billy Thorpe and Jimmy Barnes, brilliant American bass player Billy Sheehan (Mr Big) and US band Better Than Ezra. That’s all without mentioning his tenure as vocalist and frontman for seminal Australian rockers The Butterfly Effect.

SemiDrop is a bombastic, dynamic track – it is a Faith No More meets (early era) Muse collision that makes up this bass-heavy, epic vocals track. A filmclip for the song will follow within the month.

The Mofos are heading out on tour throughout March – the tour starts this friday – Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are getting a taste of the new material. The SemiDrop tour hits Coolangatta Hotel Friday March 13 with Mass Sky Raid, The Round Persuasion and Neon Tiger, Brisbane at New Globe Theatre March 19 with Mass Sky Raid, Harlequin and Flynn Effect, Melbourne at Workers Club Saturday March 21 with This Fiasco, Red Bee, Tempest Rising and Let the Number Be X and Sydney’s Bald Faced Stag Thursday March 26.
