The Rooks have released their new single titled ‘Renegade’. Written for that stadium stage and meant for the masses in every single way, shape, and form, ‘Renegade’ starts as rock star chant and builds to an everyone anthem.
Leading into a monster hook, The Rooks show just a taste of that massive talent and songwriting that makes mayhem a melody and classics out of chaos. Don’t write for the genre; let the genre get redefined.
About The Rooks & ‘Renegade’
Rooted in rock n’ roll, The Rooks have used their formative years to craft a distinctively anthemic sound that is built to release crowds into aggravated euphoria. A raw and energetic live act, they have twice sold-out Glasgow’s King Tut Wah Wah Hut, supported Luke La Volpe at the 1250-cap SWG3 Galvanizers and joined The Shambolics on a bill at the iconic Garage Glasgow. They now prepare to support indie-rock icons, Blossoms, at the 2500-cap Glasgow O2 Academy on October 19th – a gig found by themselves after an inspired email to the Blossoms’ manager.
The band have reignited an aura to guitar driven music, providing immediate hooks and cutting solos with fresh fervor. They have just finished a second recording stint with Grammy Award-winning Stereophonics producer Jim Lowe. This has birthed new material that looks to build on the success of their debut single ‘Lay Me Down’ which has amassed 25,000 Spotify streams and seen regional radio play across the UK, with notable peaks in The United States, Brazil and Australia.
