Vale, the new electronic metalcore project created by multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Mitchell Tremblay, has the first single and video, “Awaken”.

Mitchell wrote, “Awaken”, about the depression and anxiety he has experienced in his life, as well as some of the bad decisions that he made when he was younger. “I had given up on a lot of hobbies”, says Mitchell, “and I lost my passion for music. I wrote, “Awaken”, to answer the question as to whether my return to music would essentially make me happy. The single was also a pledge that every song will have a piece of my soul in it.”

Mitchell hopes that his music can reach listeners who can connect to it emotionally the same way that it does for him. “Throughout my life, music has always been my escape from my problems, my anxiety, and social situations. I want my music to be someone’s escape, and for them to know that no matter what they are going through, I have felt their pain and I’m facing my fears, so they can face theirs too.”

While Vale’s music has been compared to and described as music like that of I Prevail, Bad Omens, blessthefall, Future Palace, If I Were You and Memphis May Fire, Vale definitely has a sound of its own. The melodic choruses, heavy verses and distinct messages, easily lends itself to being music for the hard rock masses.

Mitchell has finished Vale’s first 6 song EP and has already written and recorded some singles, as well as most of the next album. He hopes to keep releasing songs and see how they resonate with his audience. Vale is just getting started and has a whole new array of music on the way for 2025 and beyond.

“Awaken”, was produced by Super Producer and Engineer, Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) in Canton, MI.
