Spurts has today released their latest single titled ‘Easy For You’ via Lava Socks Records. That moment I hit play I was rushed with that dual feeling of indie nostalgia and a sense of homecoming. The unique blend of stringed instruments and straight forward slacker rock with a brilliantly original chord progression really made my birthday (March 8). I consider this a pristine present. This is that type of music that makes your head bop while you work, drive, or whatever. A personal party, if you will, coupled with musical reflection and an appreciation for anything that quietly stands out in this world of assembly line everything.

Racing out of Oakland, CA, Spurts is the sentimental slacker rock group composed of hometown friends Robert Sanlis (guitar / vocals), Nathan Graves (keys), Chris Schubert (bass) and Jack Kovacich (drums). With their DIY recordings and energetic live performances, Spurts deliver music that embodies listening to a playlist full of forgotten 90’s bangers.
