The Battery Farm have today released their new single titled ‘It’s A Shame, Thanks A Lot’ from their upcoming album ‘Dark Web’ dropping November 29th via Rare Vitamin Records.

Haunting with a bit of English snark and global swagger, The Battery Farm shows the dark side of life all too true for the most of us by taking to their instruments and giving a solid example of the best of us.

A slight departure from their established sound, The Battery Farm expands their musical vision and lyrical content and shines a light on mental blight and shows that we’re all susceptible. This is what music is for.

About ‘It’s A Shame, Thanks A Lot’

It’s a Shame is the 3rd single from The Battery Farm’s forthcoming 2nd album Dark Web. L Taking the listener into the heart of a near-fatal mental breakdown, the song unflinchingly explores mental illness from a first person perspective, in all its ugliness, chaos and deep, violent terror. It is the rawest and most personal song the band have released so far and marks a profound dive into an altogether different kind of abyss. Musically it covers new ground for the band, showcasing a new, dark, icy restraint in contrast to their established Doom Punk cacophony.

About The Battery Farm

The Battery Farm are a Gutter Punk four-piece from Manchester playing punishing, pulverizing rock music brimming with pain and passion. The Battery Farm was formed in March 2019 by brothers Ben and Dominic Corry. It was formed as a cry of despair; a terrified and furious response to a world that rapidly seems to be going wrong. This is reflected in the sound of the band, which is frantic, visceral and violent but also laced with beauty and melody.

Their sound has been compared to bands such as PIL, Fugazi and Pere Ubu while maintaining something thrillingly real, original and human. They write about themselves and the world they see around them with guttural honesty and searing compassion.
