Innovibrations is back with another incredibly fun, positive, original single and lyric video, “Can I Take U Higher?”, out now on all platforms.

Innovibrations, created by Greg Armstrong, is a production company, a studio, a band, a record label and most of all, an opportunity for like-minded people to Create, Innovate and Vibrate. Some of the players may be different on each project, but the results are nothing less than magical!

For, “Can I Take U Higher?”, the players include former members of Prince’s band; Philip Lassiter (trumpet) and Kenni Holmen (sax) as well Cory Wong’s band; Petar Janjic (drums) and Parliament Funkadelic; Tosha Owens (vocals) as well as Mitch Boerner (vocals), Greg Armstrong (keys, guitar, vocals) and Matt Kirkwold (guitars).

The meaning and inspiration behind this single is simple….pure positivity. Greg says, “I wanted to write a song that gave you the “Uptown Funk” vibe of happiness, up-tempo, danceable, fun, and most of all POSITIVITY.” He continues, ‘“Can I Take U Higher?”, turned out better than I could have imagined. All the players and, of course, Engineer/Producer Charles Alkazian, brought their “A” game!”

The writing and recording process started in Greg’s Innovibration studio with the basic groove, keyboard parts and arrangement. He added live drums and bass, which gave it the “funk”, then sent to Mitch to write the lyrics. With Greg’s hook, “Can I Take You Higher?” and the melody ideas for the verses, Mitch wrote all the lyrics. The horn arrangement, guitar parts and sax were the final elements, before the vocals were finally cut and then mixed by Charles Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios, Detroit, MI.

Greg is currently working on several projects, including a cover of, “A Song For You”, which he considers to be one of the “best written songs ever” by Leon Russell. He is also working on another collaboration with Mitch Boerner on a song that has a real “Chicago vibe” to it, with a full horn section.

For 2025, Greg hopes to keep releasing singles, and possibly do an album, something he has not done since 2006.
