As 2016 draws to a close Nathan Sykes delivers a very special Christmas present with ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’.
The solo star has decided to make the song available following an exceptional live performance for Coca Cola in front of their iconic festive trucks at the O2.
‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, was written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, and introduced to the world by Judy Garland in the 1944 musical ‘Meet Me in St. Louis. Frank Sinatra later recorded his own infamous version.
Nathan launched his solo career in 2015 and recently released his debut solo album ‘Unfinished Business’. Following a stunning X Factor performance, his single ‘Famous’ rocketed to the Top 3 on iTunes, his highest placed solo song to date.
He has already topped the US Billboard Dance Club Chart twice, with his debut single ‘Kiss Me Quick’ and ‘Over And Over Again’, embarked on a sell-out headline UK tour and become a Celebrity Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust. He performed his first US live solo performance on Good Morning America and headlined his own show at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City – which sold out in just 10 minutes. His single ‘Over And Over Again’ shot straight into the UK iTunes Top 5, and this summer he joined Take That and Olly Murs on stage at London’s Hyde Park for British Summertime Live. Nathan will be closing 2016 with a performance on Top of The Pops annual New Years Eve special.
In the USA this year People Magazine named Nathan ‘The Voice’ in their ‘Ones To Watch’ feature and in July he headlined their ‘People Now’ concert series in New York. Nathan has also wowed with appearances on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve, The Late Late Show with James Corden plus America’s biggest morning show, Kelly and Michael. He also toured with Canadian superstar Alessia Cara on her ‘Know-It-All Tour’, performing at prestigious venues including Radio City Music Hall in New York.
