Explode The TV is an explosive indie rock quartet with infectious hooks and searing live performances. Their music balances thundering bass riffs and addictive melodies with sparkling dreampop sounds.
They have 3 albums released – Godbox, Rhymes for Robots and Normalized- with three singles of their fourth already released including the moody but triumphant “Everything points to you”, 80’s tinged “Plastic Tape”, and infectiously danceable “Naked Eyes”. Their next single “Rescue station” is awaiting release.
Their influences include the classic post punk sounds of early U2, Echo and the Bunnymen, and the Cure as well as a love of britpop: Suede, the Verve, and Feeder. They have recently incorporated the dreamy and abrasive sounds of contemporary post punk revival bands including IDLES, Thus Love, High Vis, Murder Capital, and Dry Cleaning.
‘After The Stars Burn Out’ is bursting with with heart warming vibes with massive melodies and a fireside Oasis/Frankie Goes To Hollywood tint anthemic, making it the perfect end of year track to add to your play lists.
The band have been busy this year recording a new album for a Spring 2024 release.
