Famined Records is proud to announce the signing of Phoenix, AZ’s rock/emo revival outfit Papertowns.. Guitarist/vocalist Jonathan Brown had this to say on the signing, “It’s honestly a weight off our shoulders to finally have a label who understands the direction we’re striving for and support us fully. We’re beyond grateful for the opportunity.” Along with the signing announcement, Papertowns. has announced that their Famined Records debut EP, entitled With You In Mind, will be released May 12th and the lead single is exclusively premiering on New Noise Magazine HERE. On the single Jonathan commented, “We wanted the first song released to be the most honest, musically. For us, this EP is a transition into what we’re working on for a full length so this single, and the songs that follow it, we’ll be a good representation of the growth will be pursuing musically.”

Before the band sees With You In Mind released, they will be hitting the road starting Saturday with Household, Keeper, and Hands & Feet to tour parts of the southwest and Midwest. The supporting acts will be on select dates, on average five shows for each band, while Papertowns. will be on throughout the entire three week run that ends March 17th. Key stops include Albuquerque (February 28th), Kansas City (March 4th), Denver (March 5th), Minneapolis (March 11th), Houston (March 16th), and the LXSW Showcase on March 17th during the annual SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. Drummer Dillon Clinton commented on the tour be saying, “We are so stoked to tour out to places we’ve never been so that’ll be cool! As far as prepping goes, we’re getting limited merch printed, hanging out with our dogs/cats, stocking up on vitamins and of course, practicing; maybe?”

About Papertowns.:
Papertowns. is a 5-piece rock band that stems from all types of musical background’s. Formed in 2012, originally as a hardcore band, they released one EP titled, Passion/Aggression in May of 2013. They toured on the EP with Vices (Resist Records/AUS) and Hotel Books (Invouge Records) Dec. 13’/Jan. 14′ throughout the southern half of America. In March of 2014, having made some member changes, decided to change their genre in hopes of creating a more sharable form of music that not only they could enjoy, but many others could enjoy as well. Beginning in August 14’ they entered Solar Signal Studios and recorded a 6 song EP titled, “With You In Mind” with Zachary Rippy (Engineer/Producer), during such time, toured through the southwest. With a new sound, and mindset, Papertowns. is shaping up to become an up and comer in the industry now freshly signed to Famined Records.
