Emerging singer, songwriter and producer, Jack Garratt, has today won the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, an annual BBC poll to find the most promising new music talent. Garratt was also the winner of the 2016 BRIT Critics’ Choice Award. The win of both the Sound poll and Critics’ Choice Award puts Garratt in exclusive company with the likes of Sam Smith who also won both awards in 2014.
Known for his uncanny ability to simultaneously create and perform music, Jack will be hitting the road this spring on his first ever headlining North American tour which begins February 26th in Cambridge, MA and ends March 11th in Los Angeles, CA. The tour is in support of his debut album, Phase, which hits stores and digital retailers February 19th. The videos for “Breathe Life” and “Weathered”, both featured on Phase, have each gained over a million views on Youtube.
