Killing Kind was created a year ago during the pandemic, when a dystopian feeling had started to take over the world. The hopeful times after WWII, the dreams of a better world for everybody, the technological leaps and the position we had placed ourselves into, at the verge of the apocalypse.
At the end of the summer 2021 the frames for the project were set by singer/guitarist Björn Norberg and drummer Mats Molund. Sunlight studio was booked for sessions (the studio that legendary producer Tomas Skogsberg runs, known for the work with Entombed, Backyard Babies, Hellacopters and more) and then Mats Wigerdal (synthesizers), bassist Kalle Mattsson, pianist Folke Nikanor, singer Emille de Blanche and saxophonist Gustav Nygren joined the Killing Kind project to create a full album.
The recordings were finished in January 2022. Mixing (Tomas Skogsberg) and mastering (by Magnus Lindberg, Redmount Studios) was done by the summer of the same year. The single This Beautiful World is the first teaser of the full album to be released in January 2023.
