ShareTweet Catya Maré´s latest instrumental pop / classical crossover single “Voce”, which was released internationally on August 28, 2014, just received a nomination for the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award 2014. The winner of the USA Songwriting Competition and Billboard World Song Contest already was awarded the HMMA four years ago for her instrumental song “Light Longing”. “Voce” is another stunning pop / classical crossover piece, which features vocals, gorgeous strings sections, a majestic piano part, funky beats and bass lines topped by a mesmerizing solo violin melody. The single is available from Amazon.com, iTunes, Google Play Music etc. “Voce” was composed, produced and performed by Catya Maré, and audio mastered by the legendary Matt Forger at Anisound, whose credits include Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Paul McCartney, Patti Austin, Quincy Jones, Steven Spielberg, John Landis, George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola. Both Catya Maré and Matt Forger agree, that the process was exciting, but also challenging , since there is a delicate balance between the solo violin and the rest of the mix, that quickly can get altered. Catya Maré: “It took a little longer than usual to complete “Voce”, but now both of us are really happy with the result!” The Hollywood Music in Media Awards will be held at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, California, on November 4, 2014.
