With the arrival of the Independence Musical Festival right around the corner, local talents are gearing up for one of the most anticipated events to hit Downtown Orlando. On August 23, Firestone Music Park will transform into a musical playground for hundreds of electronic music fans. The First Annual Independence Music Festival (IMF), hosted by Mansion Events, will feature over 40 up-and-coming EDM DJs across seven stages, in addition to 40 heavy hitters in the industry.

The increased focus on local talent comes as a result of IMF’s goal to unite individuals from all over through the power of Electronic Dance Music. In July, three contest winners, WetXWild, Bassix, and Holyman, were given the opportunity of a lifetime to open up for the electronic music festival. IMF gives several local DJs an elevated platform where they can showcase their talent to diehard EDM fans from all over the state of Florida.

“Since this is the first year we are hosting the Independence Music Festival, we wanted to give some of Orlando’s most hidden talents the opportunity to be help make this event a success,” says Tommy Barraza, Founder and CEO at Mansion Events. “During the event, they can rub elbows with some of the biggest names in EDM while also building an even stronger fan base.”

This year, seven stages will host international and regional artists, such as local favorite Big Makk and globally recognized acts Excision and BT. Big Makk will be releasing a mix exclusively for the Independence Music Festival. Other Orlando favorites include Alex Wood and DJ Sheen Boogie.
