Musical artist MIKAL releases his new single and studio/lyric video for “The 4 A.M. Wake Up Call”, an upbeat, feel-good modern indie rock song previously only heard at MIKAL’s live shows. “4 A.M.” details a late night drunken phone call to your ex-girlfriend. MIKAL refuses to comment on whether this song is a true story, but, who would believe a musician who denies making a late night drunk dial to his ex-girlfriend? Get the song on iTunes (or most other digital music outlets) and see the video at http://MIKALMusic.com, or MIKAL’s official facebook page, http://facebook.com/MIKALMusic.

MIKAL Calls In The Heavy Hitters
For his latest single, MIKAL called upon the multi-platinum producer/engineer team of Anthony J. Resta and Karyadi Sutedja (Collective Soul, Duran Duran, Elton John, etc.) of Studio Bopnique to handle recording duties. Tracks were recorded and mixed at Bopnique’s previous home of Paramount Studios in Hollywood, and current home of Encore Studios of Burbank, CA, where Michael Jackson recorded the Thriller album.

A TRUE Reality Video… No Fakers!
For the music video, MIKAL decided to document the recording process as it actually happens, giving a sort of reality show feel to the production. Many people release fake studio videos, lip syncing and faking guitar for the camera, but with this one, you get the real thing: The actual studio footage. And MIKAL decided to dual-purpose the video by making it a lyric video as well.
