LAKA has forged a reputation as an artist unafraid to explore musical possibilities; his catalogue boasts the release of seminal albums such as DESTINY, a fusion of hip-hop, traditional rhythms, classical music and pop, with the release of highly acclaimed SUPERNOVA and PYRAMID albums ensuing.

As a producer he’s worked with Africa’s finest – Ray Phiri (Graceland), Brenda Fissie, Sipho Mabuse, Mango Groove and Johnny Clegg to name but a few. His production work on Hugh Masekela’s BLACK TO THE FUTURE and SIXTY tantalised fans and with this winning collaboration saw the pair enjoy a Grammy nomination in 2013 for Masekela’s JABULANI album.
