Kid Prexy has today premiered his new video for the track titled ‘I Think That You’re Pretty’. The track was produced by Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum rock icon Kevin Thrasher (Machine Gun Kelly, Blink 182, Jxdn, Travis Barker).

Genre mixing is a hard thing to do. It’s even harder to add to that mix the snark and angst that is meant for the subject matter. The song sounds as slickly produced as it does that chaotic nature that comes with the feeling of telling someone you love the beginnings of those feelings. It works here. It totally works. Every emotion has a place within the notes and that anxiousness with the subject comes through with clarity.

Take from that what you will, what you are witnessing here is the start of a career.

In the summer of 2021, the promising artist recorded his first EP, Broken Promises, at 13 years old exuding an emo Rap and smooth melancholic style, inspired by the likes of Juice Wrld, Post Malone, Kid Laroi, Lil Peep & Xxxtentacion. Then in early 2022, he wrote and recorded five Lo-Fi Chill Acoustic songs for his second EP Lights in the Forest, which was inspired by BoyWithUke and Powfu.

Now in 2023, Kid Prexy is gearing up to release his third EP, inspired by Machine Gun Kelly, Jxdn & Blink182 to explore the Pop Punk and Alternative Rock genres that he loves to showcase his guitar and singing skills. The highly anticipated EP was produced by Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Producer Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft (Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly).

Leading single “In My Head” is a riveting emotional rollercoaster, with moody vocals atop gritty guitar riffs and intense pop punk sonics while in “Shooting Star”, Kid Prexy blends saccharine chords of ukulele, subtle currents of percussion, and a powerful vocal for a vibrant, pop-dipped rock escape. Prexy’s new single “I Think That You’re Pretty” is an anthemic, early 2000’s meets Gen Z ode to first lust that features a kaleidoscopic blend of annihilating guitars, soul-baring vocals and rich power chord basslines.
