Joey ‘60 East’ Atilano found himself immersed into the hip-hop culture from a young age. Introduced to the world of rap music by his older brother, it didn’t take long for him to pick up the mic at thirteen years old.
The success of his indie label First Dirt has earned him performance slots on internationally renowned Festival line-ups such as The Paid Dues Festival and the VANS Warped Tour, plus tour date support slots with Joell Ortiz and RA The Rugged Man.This year has marked 60 East’s emergence as an internationally recognised headline act, after being one of the few American artists selected to perform at this year’s Hip Hop Kemp Festival in Czech Republic (sharing the stage with the likes of Redman, and Anderson
This year has marked 60 East’s emergence as an internationally recognised headline act, after being one of the few American artists selected to perform at this year’s Hip Hop Kemp Festival in Czech Republic (sharing the stage with the likes of Redman, and Anderson Paak amongst others), and a headline slot at the Zabij Nude Festival in Poland.
Following this, 60 East returned to Los Angeles and released the West Coast anthem “The Origin” featuring California Hip Hop legends Sly Boogy and Blu (Blu and Exile).
Today 60 East returns with yet another visual featuring one of Brooklyn’s most prolific writers Skyzoo, who recently released a new project with Apollo Brown under Mello Music Group.
The song captures the essence of the title ‘Enemies 2 Friends’ in a very direct but thought-provoking way, especially in the video (also featuring model Krystle Lina). The laid back soulful beat almost makes the tragedy of the tale harder to watch, but also sits perfectly alongside 60, and Skyzoo’s flows.
The track is the second single release from the studio album ‘10,000 Hours: A Story of Success’
Be sure to keep up with 60 East as he will be returning to Europe in early 2017 to perform at the Winterclash Festival in The Netherlands, and then will continue on dates around Europe for his Winter Tour.

“Passion for 60 East’s loved ones fuels his lyrical creativity. If you’re not a fan of life stories put into song, you might not get the same desired effect as someone who has gone through similar events.”
Ashley Bennett, IE Weekly
“Emotionally resonating, introspective lyricism.”
Lee Hawthorne, The Root Music
“They say you have to put in 10,000 hours of work at any given career choice to be great at it and 60 East is clearly on the same page.”
