Super-Sonic Jazz Records is set to release the brilliant new single ‘Sacred’ from Dutch neo-soul risers Roseye. Offering a tantalising look at the band’s hotly anticipated debut album, ‘Every Move’ slated for release on April 12th, the band continue to showcase the intricate musicality and melodic songwriting that has seen them gain placements across Spotify editorials.

Led by the captivating vocals Tallulah Rose, Roseye is a 5-piece ensemble that intricately weaves together psychedelic grooves with ethereal narratives. Their music transcends genres, effortlessly blending soul, jazz, and rich electronics. Drawing inspiration from luminaries like Jordan Rakei, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Robert Glasper, Roseye delivers an authentic, groove-infused, and explosively soulful sonic experience.

Produced by the talented trio of Deborah Slijkhuis, Tallulah Rose herself, and Joshua Lutz, ‘Sacred’ offers another rich tapestry of sound and emotive, thoughtful lyricism. Opening with cinematic strings, the track gently flows into its stripped acoustic guitar and vocals opening, quickly showcases the smokey, silky tones of Rose’s elegant lead vocals.

Growing into its infectious chorus, the track gradually introduces layers of piano, rhythmic bass, twinkling piano, understated drums and plucky electric guitar tones. Showcasing the fluorescent songwriting and musical prowess which is prevalent across the upcoming album, the track is a brilliant example of the band’s ability to create captivating soundscapes.

Speaking about the upcoming album, the band explain: “We’re all about diving into that deep connection music brings – mixing up explosive, groovy vibes with some trippy and peaceful sounds. Our upcoming album ‘Every Move’ touches on some personal themes like sexuality, spirituality, nature, and grief, we wanted it to be liked a journey through the highs and lows of life”.

Building on the success of their previous releases, Roseye has garnered widespread acclaim with performances at ESNS and interviews on NPO Souljazz and playlist placements including New Music Friday NL and Next Wave Soul.
