Young Vincent has been putting on shows around Melbourne since 2014. Current release “Run” will be their fourth single, expanding on their unique, alternative folk sound. Full of intriguing melodies and enticing harmonies, “Run” is an alluring new direction for the three-piece.

“It all started on my couch at home on the Mornington Peninsula. The bridge melody popped into mind, sparking the process of to-ing and fro-ing ideas with the band,” says drummer Josh Walton.

“Run”, produced by Colin Leadbetter (Whitley, Katie Noonan), uncovers a story about a relationship that is slowly falling into feelings of stale love and confusion. With a retrospective tone of sarcasm, it shares an experience of heartache through catchy lyrics and upbeat rhythm.

Young Vincent was built on the members’ existing solid friendships and the band arose naturally from playing music with an ambition to raise money for a local homeless charity. Their future aspirations are to continue writing and performing new music with depth and honesty.

After touring Australia with Woodlock, and selling out their single launch in 2015, Young Vincent’s upcoming Australian tour will be a 2016 date not to miss.
