Released on 31st August 2019, Olly E’s second E.P. ‘Such is Life’ addresses his personal battles with depression, heartache, and loneliness, whilst hoping to help listeners struggling with mental health issues to see a brighter future.
Olly E is artistically influenced by Linkin Park, Muse, and Pendulum whilst his latest E.P. can be viewed as pop-punk fused with techno but carries elements of alt-rock, hard rock, pop, and electronic music. To promote the new EP, share it with the wider public and help those suffering, Olly E is looking for radio broadcast and blog write-ups.
Recently, Olly E has been performing at local shows and festivals and released two singles from the E.P. to gain traction for the full release. The second single, ‘For You’ received airplay on BBC Introducing and was featured on “pickmypostcode.com”‘s video draw and “SANE” mental health charities audio gallery. As a result, Olly E received many heartfelt messages from the public saying how the track had moved them and helped them to cope with their issues.
Born in Leicester, Olly E has had a life-long love of music, playing in several bands since the age of 12, learning to play guitar, drums, and bass so composes all his own music as well as writing the lyrics. In 2016 he decided to focus on working as a solo artist and released his first E.P. “1” in August of that year whilst studying at BIMM, Bristol. This was followed by appearances at local venues and festivals on his return to Leicestershire. Over the years, he has released several self-produced singles, videos, and online content whilst building a following. After a brief stint as a bass player on a cruise ship, Olly E went into the studio to work on his second E.P. “Such is Life” in early 2019.
