Flight of Fire an all-female, Berklee College of Music-educated band that was formed in 2009.  Flight of Fire were named New England Music Awards’ “Last Band Standing” Boston Finalists in November 2015, Hard Rock Rising Boston City-Wide Champions in April 2015, and were Winners of the 2013 Fox Rocks Bon Jovi Contest to Open For Bon Jovi At Ford Field, Detroit. Flight of Fire founded The Stolen Voices Project, a multimedia awareness project about acquaintance rape, filmed at Berklee, with 56 singers and performers from 7 Boston area schools as well as Boston community members. The project seeks to illuminate the issues surrounding acquaintance rape and consent and was created in cooperation with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and Hollaback Boston.

Flight of Fire’s current project is a concept album called “Path of the Phoenix.” The heroine of the story goes through war, abuse and coercion, and she pushes through all of it, fighting for her dream to her last breath. It’s a story of trauma recovery and of what can be accomplished by having the willpower to stay on your path, even while fighting an uphill battle. Path of the Phoenix will feature the talents of producer Liz Borden (Lizzie Borden & the Axes), engineer Mike Moss (Berklee College of Music, Soundscape Studios), music video director and producer Nicholas Prainito, and artist Lucas Seven.

The project’s goal of $10,000 will cover the complete production of the album, a concept art series based on the album’s anti-hate message, and the cost of the many rewards for backers, including physical gifts and one-of-a-kind experiences with the band. The funding deadline for the Path of the Phoenix Kickstarter is February 15th.

Comprised of four vivacious, accomplished women, this dynamic and passionate band explores the musical textures of upbeat hard rock, emotional folk rock, and complex symphonic rock, creating the fresh, progressive sound that is Flight of Fire. Highly influenced by classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Journey, Heart, The Runaways, The Beatles and The Who, as well as current artists like Halestorm, Paramore, The Parlor Mob, Evanescence and Adele, Flight of Fire has varied inspiration contributing to their unique sound – rooted in time-tested rock with a fresh, modern flavor. Equipped with a dynamic lead vocalist, belting beautiful melodies with power; identical twin sisters creating a harmony of electrifying guitar leads and gritty bass grooves; and a woman of mind-blowing rhythmic inspiration keeping the pocket tight, Flight of Fire is a force to be reckoned with.
