‘I Had a Girl’ is a funky old school flavor. I can’t say what brought it about, except I woke up and basically wrote the song that night and there it is. I did, however, want to keep that groove going from the just-released LP ‘A Cop Just Shot Me’. Something to make you want to move, without you even notice you’re feeling it.
