Landry lives in an awesome place, in Andorra, in the heart of the Pyrenean Mountains and near to 2000 metres asl. Surrounded by pine forests, mountain’s rivers and flowered fields during spring and summer and by a quiet and white snowy coat in winter… No doubt it’s a very inspiring place! As a wildlife veterinarian, Landry has always been in contact with Nature and, in some way, it has been very easy for him to let Nature inspire his musical pieces.
After several years involved in jazz, pop-rock or funk bands, while going up and down in the mountains taking care of local wildlife, Landry decided, in early 2013 to start a very personal project mixing mountain’s field recordings, classical strings, bass lines and some electronica… He wanted to use his bass to communicate about quiet moments and Nature, and that was the reason to make a complete change to his musical focuses and explore the minimalism, neo-classical or ambient styles.
In early 2014, nine pieces were recorded at Landry’s home and mixed and mastered at Sundlaugin Studio, home of the icelandic band Sigur Ros. The first album, called “They were trapped in the dream of a dog…” was self-released in summer 2014. Nine new pieces were recorded at the end of 2014 to go on with the second album, called “Tales from behind the mirror”, self-released during summer 2015.
During live shows, the band shares the stage with photographs and videos by Andorran artist Natalia Montané, creating a very special ambience, helping the audience to go deeper in Landry’s world.
