Lunar Glass is the music project of Alys Llywelyn-Hughes, who is a singer-songwriter based in North Wales with strong connections within the music scene across Wales.
Lunar Glass makes electronic pop music with a mission to unite, encourage and empower people and to connect them with each other. The Lunar Glass sound has a danceable beat and memorable lyrics with Alys’ beautiful clear voice added to the mix.
Lunar Glass released her first single ‘Telepathy’ in 2018, followed by additional releases ‘Lose Yourself’ and ‘My Vibe’ in 2019. In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, Lunar Glass co-wrote and recorded album ‘Gyda‘n Gilydd’ with musician, Siôn Lewis. It was released under the name Cwtsh in February 2021 during the third lockdown. The album was shortlisted for Best Album of the Year by the National Eisteddfod of Wales in June 2021.
As a bilingual Welsh and English musician, Lunar Glass has released songs in both languages.
Besides writing new material, Lunar Glass works on selected collaborations and is planning to release new music towards the end of 2021.
