A throwback to the ‘70s, Progressive Rock band PYRAMID THEOREM was born in 2007 as a result of a mutual love for music. PYRAMID THEOREM have developed a style reminiscent of the classic prog rock bands of an era that saw the rise of musical masters such as Rush, Yes and Genesis, to name a few.
Having released their debut album in July of 2012, they are eager to show the world what they can do. Their self-titled album is produced by the band and was recorded at Coalition Music in Toronto. The album consists of five lengthy tracks, each a unique story of its own. The shortest of these being their single “Another Day Slips By”, and the longest being their three part epic “The Dream” clocking in at just under 30 minutes.
With their natural talent, versatility and high-energy live performances, they are able to captivate audiences of any genre of music, winning over new fans each and every time they play. They have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with, opening for heavyweights like Symphony X, Sonata Arctica, Edguy and Periphery.
Their sound has been described as a classic take on music with a modern progressive edge that creates a monumental sound known simply as PYRAMID THEOREM. With passion and determination, PYRAMID THEOREM injects an unconventional sound into today’s music scene and are here to put Canadian prog rock back on the map.”
