El Grande Festival expands for its 4th iteration March 20th-22nd – the event is now a 2 Day Festival at the Grand Hotel in Gladstone on Saturday and Sunday and this time, Brisbane also gets a taste of the grandiose event at the Hi-Fi Bar on Friday night.

This time around the 3 day, 2 city event features headliners 28 Days, DZ Deathrays, Dream On Dreamer, Tiki Taane (NZ), D At Sea, Voyager, Sydonia, Ezekiel Ox, Drawcard, The City Shakeup and many more local artists from Gladstone to Brisbane and everywhere in between.

Brisbane’s event on Friday 21st March – El Grande #BNE – will be a fiesta of heavy rock goodness. It features a mish-mash of genres and flavours – from crowd favourites 28 Days through to some of Australia’s best new up and comers – Dream on, Dreamer, Voyager, Sydonia and Guards of May – punk to hardcore to metal and prog.

This time around in Gladstone on 21st & 22nd March – Saturday & Sunday, there will be two main stages, alternating all day from 2:00pm to 11:30pm Saturday and 2:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday. Saturday will see three-time ARIA Award nominees 28 Days, the world-dominating and 2 time ARIA Award winners DZ Deathrays, the fresh-from-their-Europe-tour-with-Caliban Dream On, Dreamer, Perth Prog heroes Voyager, the eternally excellent Sydonia, the firebrand activist and performer Ezekiel Ox and locals such as The Short Fall, Bearfoot, A Direst Desire, The Bucketseats and more take the stage.

The All Ages/Licenced Sunday event sees Dream On, Dreamer headlining for the kids and then acoustic shows from the unstoppable youtube sensation D At Sea, El Grande’s first international artist, NZ music royalty Tiki Taane, who will be performing his Acoustic Mash Up Set, Drawcard, whose EP ‘Goons LTD’ dropped at the end of 2014 to chart at #6 on the iTunes Rock Charts next to Foo Fighers, Fleetwood Mac and INXS and The City Shakeup who have spent the best part of the last 2 years touring the states on the Vans Warped Tour. The rest of the lineup features a helping of punk and hardcore from Satellites, Red in Tooth, Dollarosa and Animal Throwdown.

Goldfish Racing will once again be a huge attraction on the Saturday – registrations open at 2pm and will take place between 3:00pm-6:00pm.

Festival Organisers Nathan Bedford and Tim Price are stoked to increase the profile and geography of the event. “We went into booking this event, knowing that it was this event that will define where we go next with it. We are over the moon to be into one of Brisbane’s best venues and back into the Grand Hotel in Gladstone” beamed Bedford. “This lineup is a dream to us – we have hit the jackpot. We’ve got multiple ARIA Award winners and nominees, bands who have toured and done festivals the world over, our first international artist, bands who have toured and played with some of the biggest bands in the world and the best local artist content in Queensland!”
