Harris Adams has gone through a massive transformation in the last year, to say the least. I would compare this transformation to a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. That is if that butterfly came out of its cocoon grittier, more weathered and introspective and with a much more updated style. His new track titled “Russian Doll” is the culmination of this rebirth and is it ever a rebirth. Harris is a different artist now, and it shows.
“Russian Doll” is the kind of song that evokes an atmosphere of smoky nightclubs filled with a diverse cast of characters. The dirty soul that is “Russian Doll” clearly defines the direction of the new indie in a way that is both refreshing and provocative. Bravo!
Recorded live, “Russian Doll” is the lead single from Harris’ upcoming EP of the same name which is set for release on May 1st.
Harris and his band will be headlining The Troubadour, London on Friday, May 20th, to support the EP launch.
