ShareTweet ‘Numero 6’, the new track and video by Paris/Los Angeles hybrid Scratch Massive and featuring Toby Ernest, is a dark journey into the realms of creative minds. I say that in the most honest way possible because this song is beautifully dark. The almost ethereal synth collides, then soars with the grittily soulful vocals and combine into almost a decadently apocalyptic tone that becomes the signature overtone for the song in many ways. These are the tracks I love. The ones that have that ominous sound yet is done so beautifully that the listener simply cannot turn away. The video ‘Numero 6’ premieres today (July 2, 2019) via bORDEL Records. About Scratch Massive At night we flew over the hypnotic lights of Los Angeles that sparkled and electrified the darkness. At Cheeta’s strip bar, Alice Mc.Munn, legendary pole dancer and renowned tattoo artist open the doors for the night. A flamboyant character, punk icon, and muse of famous vegan makeup artist Kat Von D, Alice dances and sucks you into her trance. Her look reminiscent of hair on fire, her eyes mesmerize her audience of one, Roxane Mesquida (Gregg Arraki, Quentin Dupieux, Catherine Breillat). Alice’s pole dance performance bewitches. Eros and Thanatos in fusion. Roxane is overcome and sinks into the vertigo of love. ‘Numero 6’, from Scratch Massive’s latest dreamy album, “ Garden of Love “, takes off from its first notes. Voices, synthesizers, and rhythm merge elegantly from moment one, combining lightness and gravity, softness and heaviness. The universe falls somewhere in between futuristic Californian RnB and synthetic elements of Georgio Moroder circa Scarface. @ScratchMassive Next gigs before XMAS 🎅 @dif_prod pic.twitter.com/586qjR6Rb3 About 7 months ago from Scratch Massive's Twitter via Twitter for iPhone “Nuit de Rêve” 10 Year Anniversary Edition 🎂❤️ 2XLP collector vinyls + Digital Original versions + Remixes Ready for pre order, out November 26th 👉🏻 diggersfactory.com/vinyl/2455… About 7 months ago from Scratch Massive's Twitter via Twitter for iPhone Due to general requests, here is our soundtrack of “Préliminaires”, a documentary premiering on @ARTEfr directed by Julie Talon backl.ink/148914651 Wish you the best listen ❤️ On all the platforms✨ pic.twitter.com/AWahhAVaQt About 8 months ago from Scratch Massive's Twitter via Twitter for iPhone New remixes for “CLOSER” ft @ChloeDjProducer are available today✨ backl.ink/147275424 About 11 months ago from Scratch Massive's Twitter via Twitter for iPhone New NFT collaboration with @XLR8R You can get access to our unique recording of our « Live in Paris » xlr8r.io/nft-marketplac… pic.twitter.com/W4vbfLGZ79 About a year ago from Scratch Massive's Twitter via Twitter for iPhone The melodic and dulcet voice of Toby Ernest brings the journey complete with his seductive repetitive pull. Reminiscent of his vocals on “Turn Away”, (the opening piece in Zoe Cassavetes’ Day out of Days, in which Scratch Massive composed the music), but this time set to heavier and darker beats. REMIX by CATNAPP: Argentinian producer, exiled to Berlin whose latest productions were released on Modeselektor label: Monkeytown. Remix in the form of ambient and abstract re-reading (not unlike Ruychi SaKamoto’s compositions) in the excellent music of the film Furyo. REMIX by SKINNERBOX: the duo of Berlin producers is here to take Numero 6 to the best hours of a dance-floor ecstatic sub-bass heavy and penetrating, Pure electro beat.
