1. Darkside (Like I Do) Luzzey

Inspired by the sounds of world music, cultures and influences, versatile artist Luzzey releases his new track titled ‘Darkside (Like I Do)’ – a pop ballad infused with tribal pulls on the heartstrings.

The UK-based artist returns with a rousing eulogy to love, companionship and heartbreak. “The record expresses how you will do anything for the one you love and the reality of a relationship when one person goes and the other can’t let go,” Luzzey says. “Especially knowing no one else can love them like you.”

‘Darkside (Like I Do)’ employs jangly guitar riffs and soothing melodies to create a radio-ready heartfelt ballad. Echoes of “you know he can’t love you like I do” echo over-top dramatic drums, offering a sense of despondent yearning that touches the listener. “You are guaranteed to think about the person you thought you forgot about,” he states.

Gloucestershire and London-based Luzzey is a world music artist inspired by his Guyanese, Jamaican and British heritage. Born in Guyana, he spent his early years taking in the sounds of The Americas and The Islands. Growing up in the UK, Luzzey harnesses his diverse experiences and environments to fuse a varied range of styles, drawing on Raggaeton, Soul, Hip-hop, R&B and gospel, to create music moods that warm the soul.

He’s shared the main stages supporting names such as AJ Tracey, Kojo Funds, Ghetts and Lotto Boyz. Since performing in front of 10,000 – and headlining his own sold out hometown show – Luzzey is working towards a debut album in the hope of inspiring his listeners; with his LV5H team, he’s consistently in the studio developing new sounds. “This song is somewhat of a diary entry – I hope it can heal others like it has me.
