Marseille are the Derby based five piece band consisting of Will Brown on Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Joe Labram on Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Lennon Hall on Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals, Felix Moxey on Bass and Tom Spray on Drums/Percussion.

Formed in 2021, the band have wasted no time in getting down to business showcasing an impressive momentum in releasing an envious array of hit singles to date to include the 2022 releases of ‘Forget It All’ ‘Might As Well Be Mine’ and ‘The Jungle’ including the Vega Rally Remix of the track and the b-side of ‘The Universe Is Yours’ – all of which were received to much critical acclaim and support from the likes of Soccer AM, BBC Radio, Sirius XM Radio and online praise from the likes of Shed Seven and reviews from RGM, This Is The Music and Travellers Tunes to name but a few.

These releases have served to showcase this band as well and truly being ones to watch which has been further cemented with their live performances at the famous Y-Not and Isle Of Wight Festivals.

And …. Marseille show no signs of slowing down anytime soon, with their music, amongst other things, being picked up and played by Steve La Macq on BBC Radio 6 Music.

The band are now gearing up for the release of their latest single the summer indie, feel good, jangly pop-stomper – ‘This Dream of Mine’.

With the addition of not 1, not 2 but 3 B-sides this latest release offers the listener a valuable insight into the varying different sides and sounds of the band as a whole, succinctly showcasing their impressive songcraft and musicianship.

“This Dream of Mine” really seeks to emphasise that 90’s Madchester Pop influence, which has become synonymous with the Marseille sound.

Opening to the sound of great thunderous, yet elegant drum beats, the song really gets you going with its high energy and tempo.. With poppy chords, booming bass lines and catchy vocals, the song bursts into euphoria with a bang leaving listeners wondering what’s hit them. The band’s songwriting and musicianship really comes across here, intertwining the works and sounds of each band member into a melting pot resulting in something pretty epic. The result is a sound sphere that will ultimately set this band apart from the crowd and see them propelled forward into the realms of super-stardom.

As for the B-sides, these are not just extra bits of content for die-hard fans, no no no. These are all masterpieces in their own right. The happy-go-lucky love song that is ‘Brightest Star’ into the stunningly beautiful break up song ‘I Love You (So Much More)’ and the psychedelic madness of ‘Devil’s Gonna Get You’; all of these songs really show what makes this band so special and they should be celebrated just as much as anything else the band has ever created!

Marseille lead singer and songwriter, Will has said of the new single:

“This Dream of Mine was the sort of song I’ve been wanting to bring to the band for a while, a high-energy, feel-good song yet keeping the jangle-pop sound intact and I believe the single does just that. I remember jamming out the song for the first time in rehearsal and having a smile that I just couldn’t hold back started beaming across my face, and if the single can do that for our listeners and fans then we will have succeeded.”

Marseille are well on track and look set to be strong contenders for those often elusive big leagues sooner rather than later and with a UK tour just announced for this Autumn with proceeds going towards the testicular cancer charity, ‘OddBalls’, – The rest of this year is looking super exciting for these lads.
