Mayflower Madame has today released their new single titled ‘Never Sever’ from their upcoming album ‘INSIGHT’ dropping November 1st via Up In Her Room (vinyl), Icy Cold Records (CD) and Night Cult Records (digital).
Mayflower Madame take the music and engulf the listener with an immersive track that glides and glistens along with the subtlety of a solid announcement and signature sonic sway we’ve come to expect from perfection.
Okay, enough with the wannabe slick metaphors. This is a great track. One that should garner much anticipation for ‘INSIGHT’ when it comes out. Mayflower Madame is a band that I was worried was gone, but is back in a big way. Refined and redefined.

About Mayflower Madame
Over the years, Mayflower Madame has gained a reputation far beyond their hometown of Oslo, Norway. They made their debut with the album Observed in a Dream in 2016, which received rave reviews and earned them tours across Europe and North America, while 2020s long-awaited sequel Prepared for a Nightmare firmly established their position as one of the continent’s leading purveyors of cinematic psych-gaze swathed in 1980s post-punk and dark romanticism.
The covid-19 pandemic hit hard just after their sophomore release, but in 2022 Mayflower Madame finally returned touring in the UK, France and Eastern Europe. Last year the band focused on writing and recording new music while also releasing a Deluxe Version of Prepared for a Nightmare containing five new bonus tracks.
Their upcoming album Insight has been mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lots) and is promising to be their best release so far. It will be launched November 1st via Night Cult Records (digital), Up In Her Room (vinyl) and Icy Cold Records (CD).
Mayflower Madame is Trond Fagernes (vocals, guitar, bass) and Ola J. Kyrkjeeide (drums). “Never Sever” also features contributions from Kenneth Eknes (synth).
