Richard Sax Ross has been part of the underground L.A. music scene for many years. Most recently he was a member of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti.

Ross performs and records various instrument parts on a MIDI saxophone, including: Guitar, Bass, & Synth, as well as using traditional saxophones.

He is an eclectic talent having also become an accomplished designer and in his early years an Aircraft Engineer. Ross has even created his very own saxophone and spent 2013 in China, working with various factories to produce his perfect horn.

Ross met up with coL and began a working relationship / friendship soon after. “The Man From The Nearly Recent Future” was recorded over 3 years in Los Angeles at Ross’ Ex-Hippie Commune, in his basement studio. It was mixed over the last year in Los Angeles + Berlin.
