Multi-instrumentalist Eliot Lewis, current band member of the famed musical group Daryl Hall & John Oates, continues his highly successful solo tour with his first appearance at the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday, September 28th at 8:00pm. Hard Rock Cafe is located at Station Square in Pittsburgh, PA. Tickets are $12 at the door, or in advance at www.showclix.com.
Back touring with Hall and Oates right now, filming Live From Daryl’s House and still solo shows coming up. “The question asked all the time is how does Eliot do it all? He absolutely does, working with Eliot is a pleasure, his loyalty to Daryl and John is to be commended, he has strong work ethic, and his integrity makes it easy to work with him. He is a tremendous talent supported by Daryl and John in his solo career as well. When we got the call from the Hard Rock Corporation we were excited for Eliot, as we know his fans, their support, and coming out to his shows means the world to him, Hard Rock Corporation calling is professionally a huge thing for him, and we could not be more pleased as it is well earned and deserved.” – Denise Ciulla – Rolodex4Good
Opening the evening’s entertainment will be local musician Nik Callahan, a well-established and very popular artist in the Pittsburgh area.
Lewis will be showcasing his brand-new CD, entitled “Crusade”, and is currently touring the East Coast and Midwest. His first “live” CD, entitled “Live And Up Front”, was recorded entirely in Ohio in 2013. His previous studio CD, entitled “Enjoy The Ride”, which was released in September 2012, continues to receive rave reviews all over the world.
Eliot’s music style can be best described as a mix of pop, soul, and progressive blues. He provides the audiences with a high-energy show, and incorporates all of the instruments he plays into his live performances. “I am very excited about this show in particular I love Pittsburgh, always love to perform in the area, and being asked now by the Hard Rock Corporation International to donate a memorabilia item is quite the honor. Lewis goes on to say, “I use a bit of technology in my solo shows. The guitar and the vocals are live, and the drums, bass, and background vocals are on my backing tracks. But everything that you hear is all me. Come out and see the show.”
“Eliot Lewis is the quintessential modern musician. His facility and talent as a multi-instrumentalist and singer is very evident on his new solo CD. Check him out and see for yourself.” John Oates
Eliot has a very strong and accomplished history in the music business. From 1989 to 2002, Lewis was the lead singer/bass player for Average White Band, co-writing and producing all 3 of AWB’s albums during that time. In 2003, he joined Hall & Oates, primarily as their keyboard player, but also filling in on guitar and bass occasionally.
Lewis has also been an integral part of the award-winning show Live from Daryl’s House, a monthly webcast started by Daryl Hall in 2007. LFDH made the transition from the internet to syndicated TV in 2011, with 36 episodes airing in various markets around the country. In 2012, Palladia Channel began broadcasting the show, and in 2013, VH-1 and RFD-TV began airing the program also. Viacom (parent company of Palladia and VH-1) has recently announced that they will be producing new episodes of Live From Daryl’s House for 2015.
Eliot Lewis is also an accomplished photographer, and shot the cover photo of Hall & Oates 2005 CD, entitled “Our Kind Of Soul”.
Eliot Lewis will be donating a guitar used on some of his tour and recordings along with some other items to the Hard Rock Corporation International Memorabilia Department during his show in Pittsburgh. The items then go on to Orlando to the Memorabilia Department get logged in, and designers around the world together decide where it gets placed, displays usually find a home and get switched every 7 years.
