1. Ayla Tyler Mast Band 4:48

With Chicago roots and a Green Mountain soul, Tyler Mast Band is a critically-acclaimed folk/jam/rock outfit led by keyboardist and vocalist Tyler Mast. The band’s 2022 release “In the Company of a Friend” was nominated for Album of the Year by IndieShark Magazine. Mast is widely considered to be an “ace Hammond organ player” (Seven Days, VT), and his band is comprised of some of the most sought after musicians in New England.

Tyler Mast Band’s songs are often folk-influenced and keyboard-driven, but leave ample room for ripping guitar solos and deep pocket grooves. Mast’s honest lyrics and thoughtful melodies are what set the group apart from other acts in the jam-rock scene. It’s no surprise that fans are often left humming catchy hooks for days after a show. MobYork City says, “Anyone desiring a fully realized musical and songwriting experience will enjoy Tyler Mast Band”.

As a performer, Mast has had the pleasure of performing alongside members of Trey Anastasio Band, Derek Trucks Band, moe., Jerry Garcia Band, Bombino, Grace Potter, Kat Wright, Dopapod, Rubblebucket, Seth Yacovone Band, The Grift, Guster, and more. His own notable past bands and projects include Bearquarium, Craig Mitchell and Motor City, Tyler Mast and Paradise Divide, Ray Vega Quartet, Josh Panda and the Hot Damned, as well as countless iterations of organ trios and soul-jazz combos.

In the studio, Mast has worked with dozens of amazingly talented artists as a hired session player. He acted as executive producer of his own albums, “In the Company of a Friend” (2022), “Stereo Esteria” (2016), and Bearquarium’s self-titled album (2010). He was the assistant producer for Bearquarium’s second album “Capital House” (2012), and a musical collaborator for the New England Emmy Award winning TV series “Mister Chris and Friends” (2020). The band is currently writing new material for another studio release, expected in 2023.
