The Lows are a band that knows how to kick ass. I am not saying that because I just saw Rambo: Last Blood, either. Listen to their new single ‘Love Xtinction’. And now we get the visuals in the new video for the song. The Lows scream the fact that their live show must be monstrous, to say the least. And the song demands to be listened to in concert. ‘Love Xtinction’ is a song to wake up to when you have a busy day so you can get those nasty tasks done with a snarl and a grin and know you took those names after the asses were kicked.
“We thought it would be great to bring viewers into the studio where we actually recorded the song at, Pearl Sound Studios. It really is a magical place. So many legendary artists have recorded there. So we shot some video of us performing the song together in the huge ambient drum room to capture the energy we bring to the stage and mixed in various shots of the band during the actual recording process. We wanted to have a playful mood to the video to translate how much fun we have together when we perform and record.”
– Angelo Coppola
About The Lows
Hailing from the Motor City, the original supersonic groove rockers, The Lows, are single-handedly bringing back the classic Detroit Rock & Roll sound to the limelight with a new video on September 27, 2019, for their highly acclaimed track, “Love Xtinction” (Official Video) – The Lows.
Angelo Coppola (Founder/Lead Vocals/Guitar), describes The Lows first official music video, “we set up in the round at legendary Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) and did most of the shooting from inside our circle in order to literally give the viewer an insider’s close-up look at the band”.
The video also captures the human elements of the band during the recording process, as we see Angelo, Nick Behnan & Brandon McNall (guitars), Wolf (bass), Duane Hewins (drums) interact with each other, as well as their Grammy Award-winning Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) and owner of Pearl Sound Studios. Coppola also says, “we wanted to keep the video fun and lighthearted as the song is sort of a tongue-in-cheek comparison of how love is becoming like an endangered species”.
