Having a love affair with music from a young age, Angelica Pray has been using songwriting as a way to express emotions from real life experience. Learning to play guitar so she could produce the sounds she was hearing in her head, the songwriter fuses folk, classical, and jazz elements into her style in order to muse on consciousness, emotions, and everyday humanity.
After releasing her debut EP Willingness in 2016, Pray felt the record ended up sounding a little too produced for her taste and in early 2018 decided to bring things back to bare bones. Cabin Recordings is an up close and personal look at several impactful points in her life and is a testament to where she is at with her songwriting right now.
